Jesus’ parable of the wedding banquet (Matt 22:1–14) reveals God’s invitation to His kingdom. Many reject it through indifference or hostility, but grace extends to all, good and bad alike. Yet only those clothed in Christ’s righteousness are truly chosen. Accepting the call isn’t enough; transformation and obedience mark the chosen. God’s plumbline measures hearts against His unchanging holiness. David’s error with the Ark shows that zeal without obedience fails. Blessing comes through reverence and alignment with God’s way. Christ fulfills righteousness, and the Spirit transforms us daily to walk in holiness.

There are seasons when the God of the Bible applies what is known as the plumbline.
